There's More Than They're Telling Us

The Brief

This was Crux’s 5th seasonal collaboration with Visit Canberra for their campaign, ‘There’s More Than They’re Telling Us’ which explored the mysterious and exciting experiences awaiting people in the ACT.

The campaign featured ghost tours around historic landmarks with local expert, Tim the Yowie Man as well as relaxing over-night stays at Cubby and Co, the glamping destination conveniently placed among a Canberra winery.

Crux Media worked with Perth creative agency, VML, to orchestrate the production and delivered on the following services:

CHALLENGE: Lost location

The Old Parliament House was not the originally planned location for Tim the Yowie Man’s ghost tour, it was organised late in the pre-production schedule when the creative agency’s first preference venue pulled out unexpectedly.

Luckily, Crux Media have a great pre-existing relationship with the team at the Museum of Australian Democracy in Old Parliament House from all our previous work together on various projects.

So when we reached out to them to ask if they could facilitate us, they felt comfortable fast-tracking the authorisation process since they knew Crux could be trusted to utilise their site with heritage conservation in mind.

Crux love filming at the Old Parliament House and feel it brought an extra layer of enrichment to the campaign.

Crux Media were also able to bring an ARRI cinema camera to the production (cinematographer, Scott Holgate, not included).
